Identifying challenges to improve the investigation and prosecution of state and local human trafficking cases
Drs. Amy Farrell and Jack McDevitt with graduate assistants Rebecca Pfeffer and Stephanie Fahy completed a report for the National Institute of Justice on prosecuting human trafficking cases. The researchers examined which practices improved the ability of local law enforcement agencies to identify, investigate and prosecute trafficking cases; what factors led to successful prosecution and what factors were barriers to prosecution.
