The controllers of the estate of Margaret Mitchell, the author of
Gone With the Wind, attempted (unsuccessfully) to stop the publication of The Wind Done Gone: A Novel (Houghton-Mifflin 2001), by Alice Randall, claiming that it is an unauthorized sequel.
