Particle and Nuclear Physics links -- Spring 2008
- Brian Martin maintains a website for the textbook, including a page with corrections and updates to the book. (If you have a used copy of the book, be sure to check in the front whether you have the original 2006 edition or the 2007 reprint with corrections.
- To find various data on nuclei, google on "Chart of the Nuclides". You will see various interactive online charts, and you should test drive a couple of them to see what they have.
- Another search term is "Table of Isotopes". One of the best online tables is the Berkeley Table of Isotopes produced by the Lawrence Berkeley Lab.
- A starting point to obtain a wide variety of nuclear data is the
National
Nuclear Data site maintained by maintained by Brookhaven National Laboratory. From this page you can interactively search for data on energy levels, decays and reactions. There is a good link for help with using this data base.
- A wealth of information on light nuclei (A = 3 to A = 20) is available from the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory (TUNL) site.
- The standard source for data in elementary particle physics is
the Particle Data Group at Lawrence Berkeley Lab. Their first collection was in 1958.
